Description:
It was Star Wars Night followed by Fireworks. However, we decided to hold our Inaugural
"Chicken Friday". Detroit clinched on our field, the second consecutive time in a row we
saw an opposing team clinch on our field. Oh well, at least we had a dope fireworks show!

Description:
W: Joel Zumaya L: Ryan Franklin This was a crazy game. Tigers led 7-1 going into the
eighth inning and brought Daniel Bard in to get some work in. He gave up four runs and
left with a man on base. José Valverde gave up the game tying single and then a two-run
homer to put the Yankees ahead 9-7. David Robertson came out to close the game and gave up
a homer to Delmon Young and a single to Brennan Boesch, and was immediately pulled. Ryan
Franklin came in and gave up the go-ahead two run homer to Miguel Cabrera. The craziest
thing was that there was a base open and they could have pitched to Victor Martinez.
Thanks, MLB the Show Yankees. (MLB the Show Yankees apparently carry Robertson, Franklin
AND Matt Capps to close games.) Zumaya, who finished the ugly eighth inning, stayed in to
close out his own win. Matt Garza went 6.1 with one run allowed and four Ks, and didn't
get the win thanks to Bard exploding. Bard's ERA is also now 33.50 or something. Also
A-Rod died after fielding a grounder and Russell Martin had to come in to play third.
