Detroit Tigers shortstop Adam Everett and left-handed pitcher Nate Robertson left Wednesday's game against the New York Mets in the first inning with injuries. Everett had a mild sprained left ankle sustained sliding into second base, and Robertson sprained the thumb on his pitching hand while taking a throw at first base. Neither injury appeared to be serious, but could cost both playing time. "Everett didn't look too bad," Tigers manager Jim Leyland said. "Nate's pretty swollen."
