DETROIT (AP) - The Detroit Tigers recalled left-hander Clay Rapada from Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday and optioned infielder Jeff Larish to the Mud Hens.
The 28-year-old Rapada has made eight appearances with Toledo this season, posting a 6.00 ERA with seven strikeouts and one save. He pitched in 25 games for the Tigers last year, going 3-0 with a 4.22 ERA.The 26-year-old Larish has appeared in eight games with Detroit this year, hitting .176 with a home run.
