RHP Joel Zumaya (right shoulder AC joint surgery) opened the season on the 15-day disabled list. He was throwing lightly on a regular basis late in spring training but won't be pitching for another couple of months. He will be out until at least midseason.

C Vance Wilson (Tommy John surgery in June 2007) opened the season on the 15-day disabled list. He hopes to return by the end of April.

RHP Fernando Rodney (right shoulder tendinitis) opened the season on the 15-day disabled list, in part so the club won't be tempted to rush the setup man back too early. He is on a throwing program and will throw a supervised session on April 14.

RHP Jordan Tata (fractured metacarpal in right hand) was injured March 7, and he opened the season on the 15-day disabled list. He might be ready to start a rehab assignment before the end of April.
